Former talk show host Wendy Williams has been trending on social media after news broke of American rapper, Sean “Diddy” Combs’s arrest.

Diddy was taken into custody by federal agents on Monday.

The 54-year-old music mogul pleaded not guilty to charges of sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution during a court hearing on Tuesday.

A 14-page indictment charged him with racketeering, sex trafficking by force, and transportation to engage in prostitution.

If convicted on all three counts, the rapper and record producer faces a sentence of 15 years up to life in prison.

Fans quickly took to X, expressing how much they miss Williams's talk show and her famous "Hot Topics" segment.

Williams, who is reportedly suffering from dementia, would have discussed Diddy’s arrest in detail, with her usual sharp commentary.

In February, Williams was diagnosed with primary progressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia.

X user @itsKARY_ wrote, "Wendy Williams would’ve dedicated her entire hour to talk about Diddy and his mess. God, I miss her. I hope she’s doing well."

Another user, @spirituallytyra, tweeted, "My God, I wish Wendy Williams was back in her prime. The wild ass news that’s been coming out lately would’ve propelled her to Oprah status."

Others reflected on the unique way Williams handled celebrity gossip. @ayeyochels1 said, "I really miss Wendy Williams being on daytime television. She would have had a field day with some of these stories. I can see her now sipping and stirring her tea. No one has been able to fill that spot yet."

User @CairaLovesOL added, "I truly miss Auntie Wendy Williams on days like today. No one did hot topics like she did. No one. I can almost hear her going off on Puffy (Diddy) and telling us she told us so. Because she's always known and she tried to tell us. Many times. I hope she's doing better."

@DaneCalloway_ highlighted Williams’s impact on the industry, stating, "Yes, Katt Williams exposed certain people in the industry.

However, Wendy Williams also exposed specific industry figures, including Diddy.

Diddy reportedly had her fired from her original radio show & blackballed her from the industry. Here's Wendy before they came after her."

The calls for her return continued with @WriteAsRae tweeting, "Media NEEDS Wendy Williams right now. Mama has been off-air for three years and the public is calling her name because nobody gave us the hot topics like her. THAT is impact. These new girls could never."

Williams’s health struggles and the end of her show in 2022 have kept her out of the spotlight, but she shared her story on her 2024 documentary titled “Where Is Wendy Williams?”. The film offered a glimpse into her life after her talk show’s cancellation.

She also shared that she was diagnosed with dementia and aphasia, along with battling other issues like alcohol addiction, Graves’ disease, and lymphedema.
