Durban — The family of a missing uMtata man is appealing to the public for assistance in locating Herbert Qedusizi Msimang, 34, who was last seen in Durban North during the recent Amashova cycle race.
As months have passed without any significant leads, the Msimang family has made pleas for information regarding their son’s whereabouts.
Dawn Gounden, the family spokesperson from Renegades Search & Rescue, relayed their “heart-wrenching plea”, emphasising the urgent need for any details that might assist in finding Msimang.
It is reported that he was last spotted on October 21 near Pine Street in Durban, but since then, no further sightings or credible leads have emerged. She said he had reportedly boarded a private taxi from Durban North to Morningside when he was last seen.
“The family is currently on an emotional rollercoaster,” Gounden stated.
“His contributions to the local cycling community and respectful demeanour are well-remembered, further accentuating the pain felt by both family and friends during this distressing time.”
