THE Cape Town Folk ‘n Acoustic Music Festival returns with another genre-hopping mixed bag of musicians.

This year’s gig will be staged at the Baxter Theatre’s Concert Hall on August 30 at 8pm.

The line-up includes Ard Matthews, Vusi Mahlasela, James Grace, Deep South, Errol Dyers, Derek Gripper, Dave Ferguson, Mark Haze, Farryl Purkiss, Saudiq Khan, Blacksmith, Digby and the Lullaby, Reza Khota, Touchwood, Jesse Jordan, Louise Day, Nuka, Evelyn Hart, Jeremy Douglas, Wayne Pauli, Carla Conradie and Tatum.

Expect a mix of African folk, country, Flamenco, world music, acoustic rock, classical, ragas, Cape jazz, bluegrass and Celtic music with a little neo-soul and swamp blues.

The Music Experience will run a competition on their live interactive store. The winner of the competition will receive an Alvarez guitar and will also get to open the festival.

As with last winter’s concert, the organisers will also be doing a blanket drop for the homeless.
