One of the of the biggest expos on Cape Town’s events calender is back after a two-year, Covid-induced break, and it promises to showcase new fashions, tasty foods and give an insight into Cape Town’s vibrant Muslim community’s contributions to the Mother City’s rich cultural tapestry.
The Spar Cape Town Ramadaan Expo opens tomorrow at the historic Green Point Track with up to 200 exhibitioners showcasing their wares
Friday, March 25
The Expo is from 2pm to 10pm. We will have 100 newspapers on site and a promoter. The first 50 people to buy a copy of the newspaper will receive a goody bag with some Ramadaan essentials, such as soup mix, Boeber mix and falooda.
We will sell the newspapers at 50% throughout the expo weekend.
Saturday, March 26
The expo is from 9am to 10pm. We will have 100 copies of the Weekend Argus on site and a promoter. We will insert an information sheet (name, surname, contact details and email address) in the paper.
This sheet will serve as an entry mechanism for the give-away draw.
There will be a live Boeber cooking demo with Farzana Kumandan and Aziz Hartley at 1.15pm at the Expo’s kitchen theatre.
At the end of the demonstration we will give away an InstaPot Duo 8L to the value of R2 800. The information sheet is the entry mechanism.
Sunday, March 27
The expo is from 9am to 10pm We will have 100 copies of the Weekend Argus on site and insert an information sheet in the paper as an entry mechanism for the giveaway draw.
A live savoury cooking demonstration (samoosas and pies) with Farzana Kumandan will take place at 1.15pm at the Expo’s kitchen theatre.
At the end of the cooking demonstration we will give away an Instant Vortex Air Fryer oven to the value of R3 800.
